Give thanks to the Lord for He is good

Give thanks to the Lord for he is good and his goodness endures forever.

God is good in all seasons and at all times, but sometimes we fail to see his goodness for many reasons. Responsibilities of our daily lives, obscure our vision and narrow our focus. We tend to get too self centered ignoring our relationship with heavenly father. But the word of God teaches us a balanced approach while we struggle with our daily responsibilities, “Give to God what belongs to God and to Caeser what belongs to Caeser”. The word of God brings an order in our lives and enable us to prioritize our responsibilities.

Give thanks in all seasons for this is what God wants you to do in Jesus Christ our Lord.

Giving thanks doesn’t do any good to God but prepare us to receive more,  for the one who is faithful in small matters will be faithful in big matters.

Giving thanks makes us humble for we know that even though the horse is ready for battle, its the Lord who give victory.

Giving thanks to the Lord strengthens our inner being. When we give thank, we are filled with a special joy that gets reflected to those around us.

Thanksgiving open doors and set prisoners free. Literally! Paul and Silas were in Jail after being beaten and chained in heavy wooden blocks, still they were giving thanks to the Lord. Paul’s mind was so full of thanksgiving and praise that when he was hard-pressed in persecution, what came out was not bitterness and hatred but thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving is our spiritual act of worship for it opens our eyes to see and revere the beauty of the risen Lord.

Give thanks to the Lord for he is good and his goodness endures forever.
