God is good and His goodness endures forever

“God is good and his goodness endures forever.” Bible reminds us about the goodness of God that is everlasting!

God is everlasting in nature and so are His mercies and grace that flow abound into the lives of those who come to him in humble submission. We see God’s goodness in our lives everyday by considering the works of his hands. Sun and moon and stars are created by his glory, in his glory and for his glory. When we look at the works of the hands of the Lord, we are filled with an awesome reverence for the Lord who has created such great universe.

We look at the vastness of the sky and upon comparing ourselves find out that we stand no where in the midst of such great wonders. This is where the mercy of the Lord comes to remind us that we have been created in the image of the creator. Not only that, the creator has imparted his own power into our lives by his word.

Jesus, the Son of God, is the manifestation of the word of God that has turned into flesh. Through his life and resurrection, Jesus has granted us access into the place of grace. When we stand in the place of grace and ask God to fulfil his promises in our lives, we receive the answer, “Doesn’t matter how many promises God has made, they are all yes and amen in Jesus.”

Since we have boldness through Jesus Christ to receive the promised blessings, we can rejoice in the presence of the Lord, shouting out-loud, “God is good and his goodness endures forever.”

I stand at the door and knock

Jesus says, “I stand at the door at knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I come in and eat with him and he with me.”

Jesus knocks at the closed doors. We may have many doors open for Jesus in our lives but there may be some doors that are secretly closed to the Lord.

May be we think that one or two closed doors don’t make a difference in our relationship with the Lord. May be we think that we are walking with the Lord and doing his work diligently so its OK to have one door closed to him.

The closed door could be in our personal life, family life, career, the way we spend our time or the way we treat others. There may be something else that we are hiding from the Lord, knowing or unknowingly.

The Lord is looking at the closed door. In fact he is waiting for that closed door to be opened so that he could come inside to bless you. You may have be living the most luxurious and comfortable life with closed doors but what you are not aware of is that the Lord has thought of a different blessing for you, something that you could never imagine, something that you never thought of. And the only way to receive that special blessing is to open the closed door.

Don’t justify your walk with the Lord by the amount of work you are doing for his kingdom. Your multiplication lies behind the closed door that has been closed for many years.

It may be hard for you to open the door now, since its been closed for a long time. You may need to change certain things in your life, but if the Lord is knocking at the door, Open it!

Don’t delay to open the door. The Lord is waiting so are your special blessings that are standing behind the closed door!

Spirit of wisdom, and revelation in the knowledge of Him

Ephesians 1:17, “God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom, and of revelation in the knowledge of him.”

“My people perish because of lack of knowledge” says the Lord.

We live in a world that is changing every day and in order to be on top of things, we need to upgrade ourselves so that we may not lag behind. Likewise, we need to equip ourselves with spiritual power every day so that we may discern and protect ourselves from the evil plans and devises.

The more we are vigilant in the spirit by closing the doors that are not opened by the Lord, the more we open ourselves to the knowledge of the Lord. God’s knowledge comes to fill us with a new identity and renewed strength every day. If we are not aware of our spiritual powers, we will not be able to win battles that originate in the spiritual realm.

Paul was praying that God, the father of our Lord Jesus Christ, may fill us with the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of the Lord.

“Fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.” Wisdom comes when we follow His precepts and give God the first priority in our lives. If we are diligent to follow the Lord’s commandment, “Love the Lord with all your mind, body, soul and spirit.” and “Love your neighbour as yourself.” we will gain an entry into the place of wisdom and Godly knowledge.

Let’s pray today, as Paul prayed that the Lord may fill us with the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of the Lord so that we may stand firm in our new identity to do the works that he has assigned for his praise and glory!

Our new identity

Psalms 32:1-2, “Blessed is the  one whose transgressions is forgiven and whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man against whom the Lord count no iniquity and in whose spirit there is no deceit.”

David said in Psalms that blessed is the one whose sins are forgiven. In old testament, there are numerous accounts that people came under the wrath of God due to their transgressions. God gave his commandments to Moses who announced them to the people of Israel. Once the commandments were given to people, they became accountable to follow every single rule and regulation, else there were consequences. Bible says that the wages of sin is death. So the law that was given by Moses brought death to the people of Israel.

Since it was hard for man to fulfil the obligation of law, God sent His own Son, who came down in the image of man to defeat law with its regulations. Jesus fulfilled the law in his body, thus gave us deliverance from the obligation to live under the shadow of law. Not only that, Jesus came with truth and grace. Truth that all of us belong to the household of God, and co-heirs with Jesus, the Son of God. Grace that enables us to live in freedom with Jesus knowing that He has fulfilled the law by his death and resurrection and all we have to do is to follow him.

Since David was a prophet, he saw that God was reconciling the world through Jesus, by making peace on earth. The one who enters into the household of God is the man whose transgressions are forgiven and against whom the Lord counts no iniquity.

The one who accepts Jesus as the Son of God confirms God’s plan of Salvation thus become a covenant partner with God. The covenant that is sealed by the unblemished blood of the lamb. Those who have been sealed receive the title of unblemished by God himself. These are the ones in whom God finds no deceit. David, inspired by the Holy Spirit calls such people “Blessed.”

We are unblemished in the sight of the Lord. We are blessed in the sight of the Lord.

This is our true identity.

Righteousness, peace, love and the Holy Spirit

Kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of Righteousness, peace, love and the Holy Spirit.

Righteousness – Righteousness of God is found in man. Its written that the one who had no sin, became sin for us so that in him we become the righteousness of God. We are the righteousness of God. The old things are gone and everything has become new. God doesn’t look at your past life when you come to him with open heart and sincere desire to serve him. He accepts you the way you are, cleanses you with his word and strengthens you with Holy Spirit so that you may not go back to the old way of life.

If you are in Christ, you have become a new creation. God has cancelled the unfavourable record of your life by nailing it on cross. In return he has given you freedom. Receive this freedom today and claim that “I am the righteousness of God created in Christ Jesus to do great works that the Lord has appointed me to do for his praise and glory.”

Peace – Jesus says, “I give you my own peace. I don’t give you the way this world does. Don’t let your hearts be troubled.” When Jesus spoke these words the power to receive his peace has been imparted to our inner being. We can receive the peace of Jesus just by saying, “Jesus, I receive your peace today.”

Kingdom of God can’t be established where the peace of Christ is not present. The peace attracts all blessings – both in this world and the world to come. Peace is a fruit of the Holy Spirit. Pray that the peace of Christ that is everlasting never leave you. Guard your peace by not letting unworthy words come out of your mouth. Guard your peace by not focusing on worthless ideas and the things that are contrary to the nature of God. Ask your divine helper Holy Spirit to help you in this endeavour.

May the peace of Jesus fill all of us today and never leave us.

Love – Love is greatest of all. God is love and Jesus Christ is the manifestation of God’s love for his creation. Jesus told his disciples that the greatest commandment is to love your God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength and love others as you love yourself. Jesus prayed in John 17 that we may receive the same love as father has for Jesus so that we know him better.

Jesus, our High priest, is still praying for us. Let us be filed with the love of God today!!

Holy Spirit – Kingdom of God is not just in our talk but manifestation of God’s glory. When the Lord sent people to preach the gospel, he gave them power to do miracles and wonders to show that the Kingdom of God has arrived. Holy Spirit is the power of the living God. We should be diligent to be filled with the Holy Spirit so that our preaching may not just be empty words but will have an abundance of miracles and wonders.

Holy Spirit if free for all. Ask the father to send his holy Spirit in Jesus name today. Jesus said, “If you know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more your heavenly father will give Holy Spirit to those who ask him.” Ask and we shall receive. I pray that we be filled with the Mighty Holy Spirit today, right at this very moment so that we could present the full gospel of the Kingdom of God!
