Keys of the kingdom of heaven

Matthew 16:13-20, “When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?” They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”

Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”

Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be  loosed in heaven.” Then he ordered his disciples not to tell anyone that he was the Messiah.

Peter spoke up about the revelation that he had received from heaven about Jesus and Jesus rewarded his confession with a greater blessing that has a new name and authority in it.

The Lord blesses us according to our faith and confession. Our reward has a direct connection with our confession. Whatever we speak about the Lord, the Lord chooses our words in return to bless us.

Peter confirmed the relationship of God the father with Jesus Christ by saying that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of the living God and Jesus rewarded him by saying “Simon son of Jonah.”, reestablishing and strengthening Peter’s relationship with his father. Peter said that Jesus is the Messiah, and the Lord blessed Peter by making him a co-partner in his Kingdom work by saying that I will build my church on you. Peter spoke up the revelation that he received about Jesus from heaven and the Lord blessed him by saying that he will be given keys to the kingdom of heaven.

Keys to the kingdom of heaven are given to those who glorify the name of Jesus through their confession and revelation.

If you want to receive the keys to the kingdom of heaven, speak about Jesus to glorify Jesus. Speak about the new revelation that the Lord is bringing into your life to bless the name of the Lord. Speak about your revelation to proclaim the name of Jesus as Messiah – the anointed one.

The more you speak for the glory of the King of Kings, the more you will be blessed with new revelations, just as Peter was.

Speak up! Don’t remain silent!! Your blessings are residing in you ready to come out!
