Consider Jesus

Hebrews 3:1, “Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, whom we acknowledge as our apostle and high priest.”

Fix your thoughts on Jesus…

Why should we focus on Jesus?

We can do the impossible when we focus on Jesus – Peter wanted to walk on water and Jesus asked him to come out. Peter started doing something he cold have never thought or imagined, but the moment, his focus shifted from Jesus to the waves, he started sinking.

Don’t focus on the obstacle that the Lord is enabling you to conquer. Speak to your mind to focus on Jesus and only on him. Fill your mind with the word of God so that what comes out is the truth of the gospel and not the deception of the enemy. Bible says in Col. 3:16, “Let the word dwell in you richly.”

The more you fill yourself with the word of God, the more powerful you become, both spiritually and physically.

We step into supernatural realm when we focus on Jesus – Paul says, “We walk by faith not by sight.” If we start walking by faith, nothing would be impossible since the word says, “Nothing is impossible for those who believe.” We can remain in faith as long as we look at Jesus. Ask the Holy Spirit to enable you to focus on Jesus, so that you my fulfil your destiny and walk in supernatural victory in Jesus name.

We receive the mind of Christ when we focus on Jesus – Bible says in Revelation, “They will look at him and his name will be written on their forehead.” When we look at Jesus, His name begins to appear in our lives, and we receive the mind of Christ. With the mind of Christ, we become able to understand the word of God and his plan for our life. The Lord begins to reveal his ways into our lives and we start walking in his wisdom and authority.

You shall see greater things!

When you believe that God has seen you in the past, the Lord will reward your faith by letting you see greater things!

In John 1:47-51, “Jesus saw Nathaniel coming toward him and said of him, “Behold, an Israelite indeed in whom there is no deceit!” Nathaniel said to him, “How do you know me?” Jesus answered him,” Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.” Nathaniel answered him, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!” Jesus answered him, “Because I said to you, “I saw you under the fig tree, do you believe?” You will see greater things than these”. And he said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, you will see heaven opened , and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of God.”

The Lord has seen you!

Look back and think about the time when you thought you were left alone but the Lord was standing right beside you. Thank God that its because of the Lord and his mercy that you have made it thus far.

The Lord is same yesterday, today and forever. The one who has protected you so far has already covered your future with his divine protection!

Believe the way Nathaniel believed when the Lord told him, “I saw you under the fig tree. Believe that wherever you are standing today, wherever you are coming from, the Lord has seen. Believe that whatever you are going through today, the Lord is aware of,  believe that the Lord has not only seen but provided a way out for his glory and honour!

Nathaniel believed and the Lord said, “You believed because I told you I saw you under the fig tree, Truly truly, I say to you you shall see heaven open and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.”

Speak up, “Lord, you have seen me.” The Lord will show you mighty things that are too hard for you to believe today. You shall see and be filled with awesome wonder to see the beauty of the Lord in his revelation. You will become a living epistle!

The Lord is my builder

“Unless the Lord builds the house, the workers, work in vain”.

The Lord is the supreme builder. He alone knows the perfect specifications of every building that he wants to build for his praise and glory. The Lord has assigned workers to go out and work for him but “how” the Lord is going to work in the lives of his vessels belong to him and him alone.

When the Lord sends out workers to work for his kingdom, he may not reveal his plan in its entirety but begins by giving short specific instructions. Once we have proved our faithful to the voice of the Lord and have done everything for his glory, the Lord reveals the next level of his plan that brings abundance of blessings to the worker.

We are God’s temple created in the image of God. We are God’s temple that is built not on the foundation of someone’s good works but on the love and promises of God. We are the living stones that fit into God’s Holy temple with other saints and Jesus himself as our chief cornerstone.

God lives in His house through his holy spirit that has been given to us with the fullness and grace and truth. There are three that make God’s temple – Holy Spirit, Grace and Truth. Since Jesus is our chief cornerstone, we have fullness of grace and truth. Holy Spirit that dwells in us empowers our inner-man and gives us utterance so that we may offer perfect praise and honour to the living God.

Believe that you are God’s temple created for his praise and glory. Claim that this temple is beautiful and glorious. Claim that you, as the house of most High God, is protected in the name of Jesus. Claim that you, as the house of God, has the fullness of truth, grace and the Holy Spirit.

God loves his dwelling place and anyone or anything that rise against the temple of God, stands against God.

You are God’s dwelling place built by God alone. You are precious!

God is good and His goodness endures forever

“God is good and his goodness endures forever.” Bible reminds us about the goodness of God that is everlasting!

God is everlasting in nature and so are His mercies and grace that flow abound into the lives of those who come to him in humble submission. We see God’s goodness in our lives everyday by considering the works of his hands. Sun and moon and stars are created by his glory, in his glory and for his glory. When we look at the works of the hands of the Lord, we are filled with an awesome reverence for the Lord who has created such great universe.

We look at the vastness of the sky and upon comparing ourselves find out that we stand no where in the midst of such great wonders. This is where the mercy of the Lord comes to remind us that we have been created in the image of the creator. Not only that, the creator has imparted his own power into our lives by his word.

Jesus, the Son of God, is the manifestation of the word of God that has turned into flesh. Through his life and resurrection, Jesus has granted us access into the place of grace. When we stand in the place of grace and ask God to fulfil his promises in our lives, we receive the answer, “Doesn’t matter how many promises God has made, they are all yes and amen in Jesus.”

Since we have boldness through Jesus Christ to receive the promised blessings, we can rejoice in the presence of the Lord, shouting out-loud, “God is good and his goodness endures forever.”

I stand at the door and knock

Jesus says, “I stand at the door at knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I come in and eat with him and he with me.”

Jesus knocks at the closed doors. We may have many doors open for Jesus in our lives but there may be some doors that are secretly closed to the Lord.

May be we think that one or two closed doors don’t make a difference in our relationship with the Lord. May be we think that we are walking with the Lord and doing his work diligently so its OK to have one door closed to him.

The closed door could be in our personal life, family life, career, the way we spend our time or the way we treat others. There may be something else that we are hiding from the Lord, knowing or unknowingly.

The Lord is looking at the closed door. In fact he is waiting for that closed door to be opened so that he could come inside to bless you. You may have be living the most luxurious and comfortable life with closed doors but what you are not aware of is that the Lord has thought of a different blessing for you, something that you could never imagine, something that you never thought of. And the only way to receive that special blessing is to open the closed door.

Don’t justify your walk with the Lord by the amount of work you are doing for his kingdom. Your multiplication lies behind the closed door that has been closed for many years.

It may be hard for you to open the door now, since its been closed for a long time. You may need to change certain things in your life, but if the Lord is knocking at the door, Open it!

Don’t delay to open the door. The Lord is waiting so are your special blessings that are standing behind the closed door!
