Righteousness, peace, love and the Holy Spirit

Kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of Righteousness, peace, love and the Holy Spirit.

Righteousness – Righteousness of God is found in man. Its written that the one who had no sin, became sin for us so that in him we become the righteousness of God. We are the righteousness of God. The old things are gone and everything has become new. God doesn’t look at your past life when you come to him with open heart and sincere desire to serve him. He accepts you the way you are, cleanses you with his word and strengthens you with Holy Spirit so that you may not go back to the old way of life.

If you are in Christ, you have become a new creation. God has cancelled the unfavourable record of your life by nailing it on cross. In return he has given you freedom. Receive this freedom today and claim that “I am the righteousness of God created in Christ Jesus to do great works that the Lord has appointed me to do for his praise and glory.”

Peace – Jesus says, “I give you my own peace. I don’t give you the way this world does. Don’t let your hearts be troubled.” When Jesus spoke these words the power to receive his peace has been imparted to our inner being. We can receive the peace of Jesus just by saying, “Jesus, I receive your peace today.”

Kingdom of God can’t be established where the peace of Christ is not present. The peace attracts all blessings – both in this world and the world to come. Peace is a fruit of the Holy Spirit. Pray that the peace of Christ that is everlasting never leave you. Guard your peace by not letting unworthy words come out of your mouth. Guard your peace by not focusing on worthless ideas and the things that are contrary to the nature of God. Ask your divine helper Holy Spirit to help you in this endeavour.

May the peace of Jesus fill all of us today and never leave us.

Love – Love is greatest of all. God is love and Jesus Christ is the manifestation of God’s love for his creation. Jesus told his disciples that the greatest commandment is to love your God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength and love others as you love yourself. Jesus prayed in John 17 that we may receive the same love as father has for Jesus so that we know him better.

Jesus, our High priest, is still praying for us. Let us be filed with the love of God today!!

Holy Spirit – Kingdom of God is not just in our talk but manifestation of God’s glory. When the Lord sent people to preach the gospel, he gave them power to do miracles and wonders to show that the Kingdom of God has arrived. Holy Spirit is the power of the living God. We should be diligent to be filled with the Holy Spirit so that our preaching may not just be empty words but will have an abundance of miracles and wonders.

Holy Spirit if free for all. Ask the father to send his holy Spirit in Jesus name today. Jesus said, “If you know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more your heavenly father will give Holy Spirit to those who ask him.” Ask and we shall receive. I pray that we be filled with the Mighty Holy Spirit today, right at this very moment so that we could present the full gospel of the Kingdom of God!

Prodigal son’s testimony: The Joy is mine

Joy was never lost but was hidden for a while.  I was happy to be on my own and didn’t even care about what I had left  behind. I kept walking on my own way and was happy to see the world with my own eyes. I saw helpless people standing on my way pleading for help, but I was too busy in my own world. To stop and help seemed a waste of time to me. Why should I hear their cry? They have their own destiny and after all, I am not responsible for everyone in this world.

I went on my own, fulfilling the desire of my heart. I never listened to anyone on my way, I was full of pride and somehow enjoyed it. Soon, I was successful and one success opened a door for another one. I became too busy with myself.

But I was not happy, despite the fact that I had achieved and gained much, I was empty inside. Why? I questioned myself. WHY?

Soon, I realized that I had no joy and peace. I was completely broken inside and had no courage to share my cry with others. I never listened to anyone, why should they listen to me now? I needed help but didn’t know who to ask.

I thought of going back to my home. Upon looking back, I realized that I was far from my own. I tried to find the footprints that would lead me home, but the time had erased them completely.

What should I do? In my anguish, I cried loud…I cried that someone will come to rescue me , and fill me with peace and joy..”O creator, where are you? Why am I dying in pain and anguish despite all worldly blessings? Am I destined to live this way. Soon my life will be over then what will happen to everything that I have achieved with hard work? Help me..Lord”.

After I had spoken to my creator, I felt a bit different. I had never felt that way in many years. I was wondering about what had happened to me that suddenly I heard someone knocking at my door. No one had visited me for years so I just ignored it. Then, I heard the knock again and again…Who is knocking at my door?  I reached out to open the door and saw someone standing there. He called me by my name and told me that he had come in answer to my cry.

I was surprised and asked the stranger, “How do you know me and know what I have been going through?.”  The stranger smiled and said, “I know you and also what you have been going through since I died for you. I fill you with my own peace and joy. This joy is mine. I give you what is mine and take what is yours. Walk in my joy.”

Suddenly, I felt that someone has taken away years of heaviness off my shoulders. I became a different person in a moment. I have received the joy of Jesus and this joy has become mine. No-one can take it away from me. THE JOY IS MINE.

Purpose of our faith

Faith as defined in Bible is “Being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see” (Hebrew 11:1). Faith is often understood as a means by which we could get the things we are asking for in our prayers. In other words, whatever we are asking for will turn to reality if we have faith.

Before we apply faith to turn our prayers into tangible blessings, we need to learn the true meaning of faith and why God wants us to have faith.

Faith is a fruit of the spirit that matures over a period of time. We will better understand what faith is if we focus our attention towards the one who gives us faith and why HE wants us to have faith. This understanding will allow us to better exercise faith, as a fruit of the spirit.

To have faith is to be sure of the sovereign power of God’s word all the times. To know that answer will come according to his promises in his time. The test of our faith comes when there is a delay in getting answers to our prayers. The longer the delay, the harder the test. But those who persist in their faith know by experience that they don’t lose anything during waiting period. In fact, they receive the same joy without seeing the answers to their prayers that others receive when they see. In other words, even though they have not received the things yet, they are receiving the fulfillment and joy that others would feel upon receiving the things. What a great difference faith brings into our lives. We may or may not have the answers to our prayers but we carry a special joy with us all the time.

This faith generated joy brings rest into our lives. The rest God has desired for all his children when he gave this message through his son Jesus Christ, “Come to me all who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest.”

The true purpose of our faith is not to speak the word over our problems and see the immediate deliverance but to see the unseen working through our prayers and be filled with joy that in HIM its all done.
